There are those who feel that fact and fiction are significantly less distinguishable than they used to seem to be.

It was a war of green, young officers who made tragic mistakes. The detective, heart- broken, then turns to drinking and eventually knocks at a fictional author’s door to tell his story. I don’t read a lot of crime stuff, but this was very entertaining and well written.
No matter what your political beliefs, this is an engaging story. Americzn 23, Sund4ncekid rated it liked it. I remember hearing conspiracy theories during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, which were interestingly developed in this. Knopfler – Wag The Dog. It is television and motion pictures. Whatever their memories, they have been replaced by what they have seen subsequently on TV.
Larry Beinhart’s “American Hero” (David Louis Edelman)
If there is ever a need to boost the President’s popularity, stage a winnable war. Four 4 stars for me. I cannot recommend this book too highly. Also, because the book is sort of ‘faction’, rather than pure fiction, Beinhart has footnotes at the end of the chapters, which is strange for a novel.
It also has a lot to say about why Americans aren’t as happy about this sequel to the Gulf War–it’s gotten boring and we want to switch stations, but either we don’t know how any longer or we’ve lost control beinhrt the remote.
It does have some unusual traits.
